Original Tender Description

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is planning two linked procurements for Payment Contingency Services (PCS) to ensure timely benefit and pension payments. PCS are invoked only in exceptional circumstances where there is a delay in DWP releasing Bacs payment files. The services will be provided under two separate, interdependent contracts: Short Term Payment Contingency (STPC) which reformats Bacs files into Faster Payment files (Lot 1), and Sponsor Bank (SB) for settlement of funds with the Bank of England (Lot 2). This notice relates specifically to the STPC procurement. All procurement activities will be managed via the DWP online portal (Atamis). Interested suppliers must register on the Central Digital Platform (CDP). This procurement will follow a two-stage Competitive Flexible Procedure under the Procurement Act 2023.
