Browse tenders for radio, television, communication, and telecommunication equipment.
Telecommunications equipment procurement encompasses the hardware and infrastructure components that enable modern communication networks worldwide. Under CPV division 32, this category includes networking equipment such as routers and switches, fiber optic cables and components, radio communication systems, mobile network infrastructure, video conferencing systems, CCTV and surveillance equipment, broadcast technology, and satellite communication systems.
Public demand for telecommunications equipment is driven by broadband expansion programmes, smart city initiatives, emergency services network upgrades, and the ongoing rollout of 5G infrastructure across member states. Connectivity targets under the Digital Decade programme call for gigabit coverage and 5G coverage across populated areas, generating significant procurement activity at national and regional levels.
Suppliers in this sector should be prepared to meet stringent technical specifications, electromagnetic compatibility standards, and cybersecurity requirements for critical infrastructure. Many tenders require equipment certification to specific Telecommunications Standards Institute norms. Vendors offering end-to-end solutions including installation, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance support are often preferred.
