Mit dem Neubau des Besucher- und Informationszentrums des Deutschen Bundestages (BIZ) am Reichstagsgebäude (RTG) sollen eine adäquate Besucherbetreuung ermöglicht und gleichzeitig die Informationsangebote für Besucher des Reichstagsgebäudes verbessert werden. Er ersetzt die westlich vor dem RTG gelegene Sicherheits-Containeranlage, die aufgrund gestiegener Sicherheitsanforderungen provisorisch errichtet wurde.
