Die degenerative Aortenklappenstenose (AS) ist die häufigste tödliche Herzklappenerkrankung in den Industrieländern und betrifft allein in Deutschland über 1 Millionen Frauen und Männer mit einer 5-JahresSterblichkeitsrate von bis zu 80%.
