Original Tender Description

The scope of this contract covers pensions administration support services to process manual benefits calculations relating to the McCloud Judgement. These calculations will allow NHSBSA to produce a Remediable Service Statement (RSS). NHS Pensions has statutory obligations to communicate RSS's to its members, allowing them to make an informed decision as to whether to remain on current pension benefits or elect to receive the alternative benefits now available to them under McCloud. This contract is a continuation of existing the RSS administration service. Due to NHS Pensions' committed timelines, a break in delivery of the service is not possible. The NHSBSA plans to carry out multiple competitive procurement exercises to put in place additional contracts of a similar nature to deliver parts of the required McCloud work. As previously stated, a break in delivery of the service is not a possibility. Hence, this contract will run in parallel whilst the competitive procurement processes are undertaken. Additional Notices relevant to these procurement processes have been published recently and can be located at the following URLs: (i) https://www.find-tender.service.gov.uk/Notice/024151-2026 (ii) https://www.find-tender.service.gov.uk/Notice/024031-2026.
