Das gereinigte Abwasser vom Abwasserverband Flawil-Degersheim-Gossau (AVFDG) wird als Quelle für die Wärmeerzeugung mittels Wärmepumpen genutzt. Die neue Wärmezentrale wird über das bestehende Rechengebäude in der ARA Oberglatt gebaut.
