Original Tender Description

Requirement Description: The Council needs to increase the supply and use of appropriate temporary accommodation both at scale and pace, to alleviate bed and breakfast (B&B) and hotel cost pressures. One option being pursued as part of a wider B&B reduction plan is the use of block accommodation with on-site housing support that will enable the Council to provide more suitable accommodation to those who are homeless, whilst being better value than the use of B&B accommodation. Liverpool City Council is seeking a provider to deliver the on site support to increase and further develop long term independent living skills, reducing the cycle of repeat homelessness. This will consist of a temporary accommodation service for single people who are at risk of homelessness as assessed by the Council's Housing Options Service and who have a Low to Medium level of support that can be met from within this service. The Provider will provide an onsite staffed service, 24 hours a day; 7 days a week, 365 days a year for to up to 49 single people at any one time in specific accommodation in In the Liverpool 3 area of the city'.
