Original Tender Description

Derry City and Strabane District Council invites tenders from suitably qualified contractors for the demolition of existing modular building and construction of new community hub at Springhill Park, Strabane. The contract involves the removal of an existing temporary structure, including its foundations, shed, oil tank, burner and associated cabling. A ground condition survey will be required around oil tank and burner. An existing air monitor is to be retained, with its connection cables rerouted as required. All play park equipment is to be carefully removed and stored off site for the duration of the works. A photographic condition survey to be carried out prior to removal. A new community hub building will be constructed, comprising of a hall area, office, meeting room, kitchen, accessible WC, standard WC, cleaner’s store, storage rooms and a plant room. M+E works will provide underfloor heating, air source heat pump with UFH manifold and solar panels. External works will include resurfacing around the building and adjacent play park, as well as the installation of a planter to the front, fencing, gates, cycle stands, signage, and a drainage system with attenuation tank. A RoSPA inspection report to be carried out on the play park equipment post installation. The project is to achieve BREEAM Excellent. Your submission must be submitted via etendersNI, via this CFT.
