Original Tender Description

The Council intends to procure a contractor to manage and operate its Household Waste Recycling Centre (HWRC) network across 6-7 sites. The contract will include: 1. Delivery of Household Waste Recycling Centre Service 2. Performance optimisation to maximize recycling, reuse, and composting while minimising residual waste 3. Development and support for creating and delivering commercial income streams such as materials and re-use 4. Materials offtake and waste management This procurement is part of the Council's initiative to enhance its waste management services and develop new HWRC sites. 8 year contract, with a break clause anticipated at approximately 4 years, centred around Local Government Reorganisation.
