Original Tender Description

The contract will cover provision of a new GCSE History magazine to support learners studying the qualification. Each edition of the magazine will be published in both English and in Welsh. The aim of the commission is to provide a magazine where learners can access high quality reading material that is designed to support the GCSE specification. This contract aims to provide a magazine resource designed to enhance classroom teaching approaches and provide learners with quality study materials. The magazine will also strengthen literacy and reading skills, and equip practitioners with both the resources and the confidence they need to teach new areas of the qualification. During the period of the contract, the supplier will produce and publish three digital editions (in both English and Welsh) of the magazine no later than 1 September 2026, 31 December 2026 and 31 March 2027. This will ensure that appropriate resources are available to learners and practitioners during the first year of the new qualification.
