Original Tender Description

Newry, Mourne & Down District Council (NMDDC) are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced contractor to remove the sandbar which forms at the entrance of Newcastle harbour annually, relocate the sediment North to a predetermined section of the beach where the contractor will then level the deposit amongst the existing beach sand, thus providing a seamless dispersal of the sandbar from the harbour back into the system.
