Original Tender Description

Forestry England plans to procure services for scarifying and mechanised forest maintenance in Yorkshire, divided into two lots. Lot 1: Ground preparation by scarifying (60-80ha/yr in autumn). Lot 2: Mechanised Forest Maintenance (mulching, tree shearing, excavator use, forwarder use, etc., plus chainsaw operators). The contract will be a single supplier framework for Lot 1 and a maximum of 2 suppliers for Lot 2, for 4 years (2+2yr contract). Open Book Pricing is required. Contractors must be qualified, experienced, and professional, with experience working in heavily visited public areas, complying with UKWAS, FISA, and Forestry England's Health and Safety Policy.
