Original Tender Description

The University of Sheffield wishes to invite tenders for a Laser Powder Bed Fusion System on behalf of the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre, North West based in Samlesbury. Scope of Requirement: The University of Sheffield Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC) Northwest is seeking a partner for the supply, installation, and commissioning of a Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF) System. This equipment will be used for pioneering research, testing, and demonstration activities in additive manufacturing technologies. The system should deliver robustness, high precision, and repeatability for complex, high-performance components for aerospace and biomedical industries. This tender is an open procedure conducted in accordance with the Procurement Act 2023.
