Original Tender Description

This research project, linked to the FSA Strategy 2022-2027, focuses on food safety by assessing chemical mixtures using in-silico and in-vitro New Approach Methodologies (NAMs). It aims to protect consumers from chemical hazards and empower informed food choices. The project falls under the Chemical, Radiological and Allergy (Food Hypersensitivity) Research and Evidence Programme (ChemRA REP) and aligns with the FSA's research priority on chemical risks. The goal is to use NAMs to assess hazards from chemical mixtures in food and their impact on consumers, developing cross-government collaboration and enhancing scientific capability.
