The appointed laboratory will carry out the provision of services for the UK National Reference Laboratory for Foodborne Viruses. The NRL for Foodborne Viruses plays a vital role in protecting consumers from illness that could arise from the consumption of unsafe foods, by providing specialist advice and technical support to the UK enforcement process for food.
