Original Tender Description

Project Scope: Lyme Valley Parkway has an old BMX track and a reducing skate park; it is being considered using this area to create a pump track. In addition to the new pump track, a seating area is to be included. Background Information: Lyme Valley Parkway lies within the wards of Town and Clayton, the proposed pump track is within Clayton Ward, within the Borough of Newcastle—under-Lyme, Staffordshire. Design and Build Specification: The scheme will involve designing and building a new tarmac pump track with seating in the designated area of Lyme Valley Parkway. Those parties expressing an interest / submission should take into account the following elements when considering and providing a draft timeframe and include a sketch proposal, along with the estimated cost of and an estimated delivery timeframe which considers the items below. > Detailed consultation with user groups, site users, residents/ward members. > Detailed design of pump track. > Installation of pump track. It should also outline how the proposed consultation will be undertaken. The new designs should reflect on the feedback received during the consultation period and the wishes of the local community and should be suitable for all ages, and wheeled users. The pumptrack should include features for all ages, be of a design that is organic, exciting and be allowed to blend in with the rest of the park landscape. There will need to be seating in a solid construction for teens, parents and carers. > Form of Contract: JCT Minor Works with Contractors Design > Contract Value: £112,000 > Procurement Route: Open Procurement Procedure Indicative Procurement Award Criteria: > Please provide two examples of projects that have been undertaken with a similar budget. (weighting 30%). > Please give examples of how you will undertake the consultation as outlined in the project scope. (weighting 35%). > Please provide a sketch design of the proposed scheme.
