Original Tender Description

Swale Borough Council is inviting Expressions of Interest to quote for the supply and installation of new bus shelters in the Swale area. The contract will involve the replacement of bus shelters with new “anti-vandal” style Cantilever shelters, galvanised with powder coating finish (colour to be confirmed). The roof should be curved 3mm polycarbonate, and glazing should be 3mm steel mesh upper half and 3mm steel sheeting for the lower half. Integrated perch seating should be included as standard, and fixings will be underground. The price for supply and installation should include removal and disposal of existing shelters and any required traffic management. Prices are requested for a 2 panel and 3 panel shelter option as this may vary from site to site, and as all shelters are located within the public highway operatives will need to hold the relevant Streetworks Accreditation. Additional minor works to existing shelters may also be included in the schedule of works, and prices will be requested for these as required. The contract shall commence on 21st October 2026 and terminate on 6th January 2027. The council may extend the opportunity for a further 3 months. The bidder/s who submit/s the Most Advantageous Quotation will be awarded the contract. Expressions of Interest and the Request for Quotation (RFQ) document must be submitted / uploaded on the Council's e-tendering portal. The closing date for submission of Expressions of Interest and the closing date for the RFQ is 7th September 2026 at 14:00hrs. All communication / clarifications must be submitted via the e-tendering portal.
