Original Tender Description

The Royal Borough of Greenwich is inviting organisations to an engagement session to explore the delivery of Homecare services within prison settings. This session forms part of the Council's wider programme to review and recommission community based Homecare and Extra Care services. As part of this work, the Council is considering future commissioning arrangements for Homecare provision within local prisons. The purpose of this engagement is to support a shared understanding of the service context and to gather early market insight to inform the development of potential future procurement approaches. The event is open to all organisations with an interest in delivering Homecare services, including established providers, new entrants and organisations exploring opportunities within specialist or secure environments. The Council welcomes a broad range of perspectives to ensure that any future commissioning approach is informed by the diversity of the market. The session will provide an overview of: • The role and scope of Homecare services within prison settings • The needs of individuals requiring care and support while in custody • Operational considerations when delivering services within a secure environment • Partnership working with prison services and other key stakeholders • Early thinking on commissioning intentions and potential future procurement opportunities • Indicative timelines and next steps within the wider recommissioning programme The event will last approximately 60 minutes and will include a question and answer segment to support understanding of the service context and commissioning considerations. The Royal Borough of Greenwich is committed to supporting a diverse, resilient and sustainable care market. We welcome engagement from organisations of all sizes and structures, including micro enterprises, co operatives, Community Interest Companies (CICs), charities, voluntary sector organisations and independent providers. All contributions will be valued equally, and participation in this engagement event will not confer any advantage or disadvantage in any future procurement process. Delivering Homecare services within a prison setting is a specialist area of provision that plays an important role in supporting the wellbeing of individuals in custody. This engagement session will provide an opportunity for providers to learn more about the service environment and to contribute insights that may help inform the Council's ongoing development work. Feedback from the event will help inform the Council's ongoing thinking. Any information relevant to future procurement processes will be made publicly available to ensure transparency and equal access.
