Original Tender Description

The municipalities of Drammen, Lier, and Asker currently have wastewater treatment plants that do not meet the requirements set by the County Governor in their discharge permits. Additionally, stricter purification requirements are expected from the EU through the establishment of a new wastewater directive. Although the directive is not yet adopted, the Norwegian Environment Agency/County Governor has already implemented significant tightening of purification requirements. This is due to the poor condition of the Oslo Fjord. In 2020-2022, a concept evaluation study ("Kvalut") was conducted.
