Original Tender Description
Nottinghamshire County Council (“The Council”) sought relevantly experienced organisations to provide Safe Accommodation Support Services for Women (Refuges) in Nottinghamshire.
This was a further competition procedure under the dynamic purchasing system “Domestic Abuse Safe Accommodation Support Services Dynamic Provider List”, project reference DN571003.
To ensure the appropriate types and coverage of refuge provision across the County bids were sought for the following Lots:
LOT 1: South Nottinghamshire (Ashfield district, Broxtowe, Gedling and Rushcliffe boroughs) – Communal accommodation (with or without dispersed accommodation) - minimum 5 and maximum 10 units
LOT 2: Countywide – dispersed accommodation only – minimum 5 and maximum 8 units
LOT 3: North Nottinghamshire (Mansfield, Newark and Sherwood, Bassetlaw districts) – Communal accommodation (with or without dispersed accommodation) - minimum 5 and maximum 8 units
The service aim is to provide comprehensive specialist support services for female survivors of domestic abuse and their children residing in domestic abuse safe accommodation. In particular the Services will:
• Ensure the highest degree of safety and security for survivors residing in the accommodation
• Offer individual support to meet the assessed needs of Survivors and aid their recovery
• Support Survivors to access other services to meet their physical and mental health needs
• Support Survivors and encourage them to make independent decisions about their lives
• Be responsive to the needs of children and young people, ensuring they receive the right support to deal with the trauma they have endured
Services will be delivered within safe accommodation (refuges) which may be individual units, dispersed housing or communal refuges.
