Original Tender Description

An award of contract has been made for the provision of an Extra Care scheme for adults with a learning disability and/or a mental health diagnosis who meet Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council’s (“the Council”) eligibility criteria for support. The specification relates to the delivery of an extra care service for up to five (5) individuals in the Port Talbot area. The Council recognises that the accommodation is a longer term scheme which will include some elements of recovery and maintaining independence for people with a learning disability and/or with mental health needs, and is a jointly funded service between Neath Port Talbot Council and Swansea Bay University Health Board. The contract period is for 5 years with the option to extend up to a further 3 years subject to mutual agreement and performance. See Section II2.4)Description of the Procurement for further details
