Original Tender Description

The objective of the public one-stage competition is to find the best possible interior architectural concept for providing library services to young people in the Tallinn Südalinna library building, in the former premises of Mr. Maurus pub (167.3 m²) and the current computer class (61 m²), connecting them with the existing library spaces. The new solution must be comfortable, safe, innovative, and functional for library users and staff. The library is considered a 'third space' alongside school and home, and the spatial environment must support the activities taking place there and function as an inviting, open, and creative environment. The competition aims to conclude a design services contract with the winner for the preparation of the interior architecture project and technical system projects in accordance with EVS 932:2017 (preliminary, main, and work project).
