Education Commercial Services (ECS) is de handelsnaam van Bishop Wilkinson Commercial Services Ltd, een dochteronderneming die volledig eigendom is van Bishop Wilkinson Catholic Education Trust (BWCET), die gespecialiseerde inkoopdiensten levert aan de onderwijssector. Education Commercial Services (ECS) richt zich op het leveren van hoogwaardige commerciële ondersteuning aan de onderwijssector, met een specifieke focus op het ondersteunen van de Noord-Oost regio. Ons doel is om ervoor te zorgen dat we de meest effectieve en conforme route naar de markt voor de klant gebruiken, rekening houdend met hun individuele doelstellingen, terwijl we besparingen en voordelen op het gebied van sociale waarde identificeren en de lokale economie en gemeenschappen ondersteunen. Hoewel ECS momenteel een focus heeft binnen de onderwijssector in het Noord-Oosten, zal het DPS beschikbaar en open zijn voor de gehele Publieke Sector om toegang te krijgen tot een ethische en duurzame toeleveringsketen voor veelgebruikte goederen en diensten in alle regio's binnen het Verenigd Koninkrijk (VK). Het DPS is ontworpen en opgezet om zich te richten op ethische en duurzame praktijken bij leveranciers en hun toeleveringsketen om resultaten op het gebied van sociale waarde te stimuleren. Het DPS zal de volgende voordelen creëren in alle sectoren, locaties en voor leveranciers: • lokale MKB's, goede doelen en sociale ondernemingen ondersteunen door een platform voor groei te bieden, waardoor de lokale economie wordt ondersteund • de creatie van sociale waarde vergroten binnen de volgende thema's: Covid-19 Herstel, Economische Ongelijkheid Aanpakken, Klimaatverandering Bestrijden, Gelijke Kansen en Welzijn • de impact op het milieu verminderen, of dit nu koolstof, water, afvalvermindering en/of circulaire economieprincipes betreft • 10-daagse betalingstermijnen voor leveranciers en onderaannemers aanmoedigen om lokale bedrijven te ondersteunen • leveranciersbewustzijn creëren en leveranciers aanmoedigen om nieuwe werkpraktijken te implementeren met betrekking tot ethische inkoop, duurzaamheid, gemeenschaps- en werknemersondersteuning in de gehele toeleveringsketen. Bij aanmelding voor het DPS moeten leveranciers aangeven voor welke categorieën zij zich aanmelden, om uitgenodigd te worden voor de relevante concurrenties. Klanten zullen de categorieën gebruiken om aangewezen leveranciers te selecteren en hen uit te nodigen voor verdere concurrentie.
