Hankega otsitakse innovatsioonipartnereid Sotsiaalministeeriumile, et välja töötada, piloteerida ja rakendada innovaatilisi sekkumisi 50-aastaste ja vanemate inimeste suhtes väärtustavate hoiakute kujundamiseks ning nende kaasamiseks, aktiviseerimiseks ja tööturul hoidmiseks. Hanke eesmärgi täitmiseks kasutatakse innovatsioonimeetodeid, mis võimaldavad leida lahendusi vanemaealiste kaasamise keerukusele, arendada uusi teenuseid ja saada tagasisidet. Pakutavad lahendused peavad olema Eesti kontekstis innovaatilised, aga mitte üleilmselt innovaatilised ehk teistes riikides rakendatud parimaid praktikaid võib aluseks võtta ja neid Eesti kontekstile vastavaks kohandada. Pakutavad ideed võivad olla tehnoloogilised või osaliselt tehnoloogilised. Innovatsioon ei pea tähendama tehnoloogilist lahendust, see võib olla näiteks ka väljatöötatud koostöömudel, koolitus vm. Küll aga peab lahendus sisaldama uuenduslikku lahendust.
