Ealing Healthwatch Service

The annual value of the Healthwatch Service is approximately up to £140,000 per annum. The Department of Health funding specifies that the service must be carried out by an incorporated non-profit making organisation. Ealing Council has a statutory duty to commission a local Healthwatch service within the requirements of the Health and Social Care Act 2012. The purpose of a Healthwatch service is to act as a consumer champion for health and social care services, and to involve local people in the commissioning, provision and scrutiny of these services. Ealing has sought a suitably qualified provider who has experience in these areas.
