Tervise- ja sotsiaaltööteenuste hanked hõlmavad professionaalseid ja operatiivseid teenuseid, mis toetavad avaliku sektori tervishoiu- ja heaoluüsteeme kogu Euroopas. CPV jaotuse 85 all hõlmab see kategooria haigla juhtimisteenuseid, kiirabitransporti, koduhooldust, vaimse tervise teenuseid, asutushooldust, töötervishoidu ja avaliku tervise programmide rakendamist.
EL-i avaliku sektori tervishoiuteenuste hanked on kujundatud riiklike tervishoiumudelite poolt. Euroopa vananev elanikkond suurendab nõudlust eakate hooldusteenuste, kodupõhise tervishoiu ja krooniliste haiguste juhtimise programmide järele. EL-i struktuurifondid toetavad tervishoiu suutlikkuse suurendamist liikmesriikides.
Teenusepakkujad peavad tõendama asjakohaseid kliinilise juhtimise raamistikke, kvalifitseeritud tervishoiutöötajaid, vastavust patsiendiandmete kaitse nõuetele ja kvaliteedisertifikaati. Sotsiaalne väärtus on üha olulisem hindamiskriteerium tervishoiuteenuste hangetes.
