Formålet med udbuddet er at renovere kontormiljøet i gårdsbygningen ved at følge principperne for cirkulær renovering – ved at teste maksimal bevarelse, tilpasning og reparation af den eksisterende bygning og dens dele. Hvor det er muligt, foretrækkes bevarelse af eksisterende konstruktioner, materialer og tekniske systemer. Ved oprettelse af ændringer eller nye løsninger foretrækkes genanvendelige (brugte) materialer og tekniske systemer eller dele heraf. Det foretrækkes også, at design- og byggearbejder udføres som et konsortium dannet af design- og entreprenørvirksomheder, hvor designeren og entreprenøren arbejder parallelt i samarbejde og støtter hinanden i implementeringen af principperne for cirkulær renovering.
