Originalus konkurso aprašymas

DPS susideda iš dviejų dalių: 1 dalis: tradicinės autobusų paslaugos su nustatytomis trasomis ir tvarkaraščiais. 2 dalis: apima transportą pagal poreikį ir kitas netipines autobusų paslaugas. Pastaba: DPS neapima transporto iš namų į mokyklą paslaugų moksleiviams, turintiems specialių transporto poreikių, pvz., neįgaliųjų vežimėlių ir (arba) keleivių asistentų. Pagal 1985 m. Transporto įstatymą Taryba turi pareigą „užtikrinti tokių viešojo keleivių transporto paslaugų teikimą, kokias Taryba laiko tinkamomis, siekiant patenkinti bet kokius viešojo transporto poreikius... kurie, jos nuomone, nebūtų patenkinti be jos imtis veiksmų šiuo tikslu“. Sutartis suteiks struktūrą maršrutų viešajam pirkimui, 2020 m. parengta Autobusų strategija apibrėžia, ką Taryba laiko tinkama pagal Įstatymą, o pagal šią sutartį bus perkami tie maršrutai, užtikrinant tinkamus kokybinius kriterijus, kad bet kokia operatorių pateikta maršruto informacija atitiktų Strategijoje nustatytus reikalavimus. 2022 m. birželio mėn. Taryba teikia 9 subsidijuojamas viešojo transporto autobusų paslaugas, kursuojančias pirmadieniais-šeštadieniais, trys iš šių paslaugų taip pat kursuoja vėlai vakare ir sekmadieniais. Taryba taip pat prisideda prie Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead pirktos trasos.
