Free School Meal Vouchers - Summer Holiday

On June 20th, 2021 the LGS formally ended in-line with the published timescales of the grant, however on June 22nd the DWP announced a late extension of the LGS to September 30th, 2021. The extension period covered the school summer holiday period in July/Aug which the DWP acknowledged would be LA's focus for the majority of the funding. Unfortunately, the very late notice of extension meant that there was not sufficient time to carry out a procurement exercise by time vouchers needed to be issued. Coventry schools already had existing arrangements in place to engage with the Wonde process, a decision was made to award in accordance with Reg32.
