Provision of the Digital Demand Responsive Transport System

The Council foresee Digital Demand Responsive Transport (DDRT) creating a significant improvement in mobility and providing greater access to residents and visitors across the county. The aim is to ensure that DDRT is integrated seamlessly into the transport network, connecting with rail, conventional bus services and Mobility Hubs. Analysis of the operating models in the DDRT market has shown that an East Sussex-led approach will be used. In this model, the transport authority licences a digital solution themselves which they can then deploy, working with transport operators.
