AHSN NENC er et af 15 AHSN'er i England, som blev oprettet i 2013 som reaktion på Accelerate Access Review. AHSN-netværket fungerer ved grænsefladen mellem industri, akademia og NHS for at støtte adoption og spredning af innovation i et hurtigt og bredt tempo, hvilket igen forbedrer patientresultater og genererer økonomisk vækst. Dette har resulteret i, at vi har oprettet et DPS for at sikre en åben, gennemsigtig og konkurrencedygtig proces for indkøb af tjenester og overholdelse af indkøbsreglerne. AHSN NENC bruger Innovationsstien til at formulere de tjenester, der kan leveres til innovatører for at hjælpe dem med at navigere i Innovationsstien og kommercialisere deres idéer.
