Rådet har til hensigt at indhente hovedentreprenøren til Westgate Village Development. Projekt- og udviklingsområdet omfatter den tidligere Co-op grund og ejendom med de nedrevne bygninger med undtagelse af den bevarede facade og delvise bygning ud mod Spital Street; dette udvides med henblik på Byggetilladelsesansøgningen til at omfatte Orchard Street og den offentlige vej i Spital Street, hvor der foreslås forbedringer og ændringer af den godkendte vej. Rådet erhvervede jorden og ejendommen fra Homes England i juni 2022 og i 2023, efter en konkurrenceproces, udnævnte Peter Barber Architects til at udarbejde en feasibility study for at undersøge de tilgængelige muligheder for arealanvendelse.
